Selling my Sony NW-HD5 20GB MP3 HDD Walkman. Black colour. Babied and amazingly still Like New In Box (LNIB) condition (with original packaging!).

Bought brand new in the summer of 2005 in Hong Kong. Was only available in the UK and Asian markets. Still have the original Sony Limited Warranty certificate! Like new physical and working condition. Check out the photos, no blemishes and screen is still mint! Was used with aluminum hard casing from day one, but I can’t find the casing anymore.

Amazing battery life, originally up to 40 hours. Still gives 30 hours of battery life because I only used it during vacations and long trips. Still original battery, but replaceable (one of the reasons I bought it). It was thinner and lighter than the competing iPod (5th generation) when it came out.

For the true audiophiles. Came out with excellent reviews, beating the iPod in all sound quality aspects, and probably still beats out the current generation iPods in sound quality. Capable of playing all common audio formats, as well as Sony’s proprietary high quality, high compression ATRAC3plus format.

Comparable in reliability to current flash memory MP3 players, thanks to its G-Sensor Shock Protection feature (disconnects the needle from the drive as soon as change in G-force is detected). A friend who also owned one dropped his NW-HD5 2 times, once from standing hip height onto pavement, and once from sitting hip height onto the bus floor, and the player still worked with no errors after each drop.

Comes with all original accessories (minus original earbuds for sanitary reasons) and packaging, including carrying pouch, USB cable, charger (with UK to US plug converter), drivers CD, manuals, and warranty card (though obviously expired now).
